Sukinda: Sukinda Chromite Mine of Tata Steel Mining Limited (TSML), located in Jajpur district of Odisha, has been conferred with the prestigious ‘CII Eastern Region Excellence Awards for Safety Health & Environment (SHE) 2021-22’ at 16th Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Safety Symposium and Exposition held recently in Kolkata.

Assistant General Manager, Health, Safety and Environment, TSML Ajaya Kumar Thakur received the Award. Paresh Thakkar, JSW group.senior vice president, Prof Chiranjibi Bhattacharjee, pro vice-chancellor, Jadavpur University, Lalit Gabhane, director general, National Safety Council, V K Nirala, Chairman, CII and Sudipta Mukherjee, Co-Chairman, CII graced the award ceremony.

TSML.MD Pankaj Kumar Satija said, “This award recognizes relentless efforts of Tata Steel Mining Ltd in the field ofafety Health and Environment. We are honoured to receive this coveted award which will inspire us to improve further in this direction.”

Sharing of best practices through this award will assist industries perform better on Safety Health & Environment management.
