Paradip: The country’s top cargo handler -Paradip Port- has earned Rs 4.30 crore not from port operation but from dumping trash. The Port has used the money in schools and hospitals.

As part of shipping ministry’s Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters 2.0, aimed at removing pendency and improving cleanliness, Pradip Port disposed-off 900 tons of scrap till now which has generated revenue of ₹4.30 crore. The Port has donated to schools and set up an emergency ward in the hospital from this money. The Port has also demolished old buildings at the port premises port has got half acre of land which will be used for future purposes.
