Bhubaneswar: The biography of former Odisha chief minister Rajendra Narayan Singh Deo – A Man Among Princes- was released by former diplomat and writer Pawan K Verma, here on Friday. The biography in English has been written by Pabitra Mohan Nayak and VR Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Verma said RN Singh Deo though came from royal linage he was most democrat in his heart and action. He said Singh Deo was rarest of the rare politician who had instituted an inquiry against himself by a retired judge when allegations were leveled against him when he was chief minister. Verma said RN Singh Deo had resigned from CM post when politicians today wants to cling to the chair.
Former Odisha minister and RN Singh Deo’s son Anang Uday Singh Deo gave the welcome address while former union minister KP Singh Deo and former Odisha minister Prafulla Samal recalled their association with RN Singh Deo. Author VR Singh introduced the book to the audience. Odisha State Housing Board chairman Kalikesh Singh Deo also spoke on the occasion. The program was compared by Gulsan Nadeem.

The book chronicles the life and achievements of Maharaja, who was one the most influential ruler of the princely state of Bolangir.
