Ranchi: NTPC Coal Mining took up an initiative to sponsor 80 youths including 4 girls from all coal mining project areas and its vicinity from the States of Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh for skill development training in two courses machine operator injection moulding and machine operator plastic processing. The courses were carried out in association with Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Ranchi for a duration of 6 months.
NTPC regional executive director (coal mining) Partha Mazumdar graced the valedictory session cum job offering letter ceremony as chief guest on Wednesday. CIPET joint director & head,Ranchi Pravin Bachhav; Naveen Jain, CGM, SSC-C&M; B M Singh, GM (Engineering); K S Murthy, GM(HR); T K Konar, GM (Technical Services); and Apurbha Ghosh, AGM(Engineering) were also present.
Partha Mazumder congratulated all the students for successfully completing the courses with nearly 100 % placement. He appreciated the confidence and charisma that the students have gained during their journey of 6 months. He expressed his gratitude to CIPET team for their unwavering support, quality education, and guidance provided to the students by them. Conveying his good wishes to the students he asked the students to prepare themselves for the new era of life and advised them to stay focused and grab every learning opportunity. He also shared that NTPC believes in partnering with PAPs for growth through its various CSR -CD activities and make every effort for their social upliftment.
During the interaction session, students shared their experiences during the six months course tenure. The students conveyed their gratitude to NTPC Coal mining Headquarters and CIPET for providing the opportunity & platform to upgrade themselves with skill development and job placement in various companies which will provide them wings to fly for a bright future and growth. As a token of encouragement, inspirational Hindi books were distributed among the students.
