Kalinganagar: Tata Steel’s Kalinganagar (TSK) plant has secured the 1st Runner Up honour at the CII Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Excellence Awards for the 2022-23 cycle, competing in the category of large-scale manufacturing within the eastern region. The recognition was conferred during the 17th Safety Symposium & Exposition, a significant two-day event organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern Region, which took place in Kolkata on August 22, 2023.
R. S. Mishra, Chief, Safety (TSK), Raju Agarwal, Head – Environment (TSK), Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Area Manager Safety, Coke Plant & BPP (TSK), Dr. Alok Kumar Mishra, Senior Registrar (TSK) and Sukanta Kumar Sahu, Manager Safety, Compliance & Audit, (TSK) from Tata Steel, Kalinganagar, received the award on behalf of the company at the two-day event.
The objective of the symposium was to deliberate upon and understand how Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) professionals can currently drive cultural change, expand cross-functional collaboration, and bring forth their value creation to drive better Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management of organizations, aligning with the overall goals of delivering superior Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performances.
