Bhubaneswar: Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, (XIMB) witnessed Stratonomics’ 2023, the Annual Business Conclave organised by CONSTRAT (Consulting and Strategy Consortium of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar), here last week. The theme for this year was “Future of Strategy : Embracing Non-Traditional Approaches and Disruptive Thinking.
The event was graced by dignitaries from various spheres of the industry – Suparna Singh, Ajay Das, Farhana Haque, and Vinod Nandakumar, who gave their views on the future of strategy and ignited young minds with their experience and wisdom, with Prof. Francis Thomas Castellino being the moderator for the conclave.
Speaking on the occasion, Suparna Singh, Head of Corporate Strategy, Special Projects, Larsen and Turbo said, “Embrace disruptions as a fundamental feature and not as a flaw. ”
Addressing the gathering, Ajay Das, Director – Business Development, Air Products said, “If you want to succeed in disruptive thinking, you have to create collaboration. ”
Offering her valuable insights, Farhana Haque, Senior Director and Cloud Head, Microsoft India said, “When at crossroads to make a choice, take a risk, act on it quickly, because if you don’t, someone else will.”
Sharing his thoughts, Vinod Nandakumar, Senior Program Manager, Mercedes Benz, Research and Development, India said, “Real success lies in finding a creative solution and not classifying a problem as simple or complex.”
Prof Francis Thomas Castellino wrapped up the event by reminding us the power of innovation and embracing change, focusing on the importance of adapting to non-traditional approaches and fostering disruptive thinking in the organizations.
As the business conclave came to an end, there was a question and answer session where the engaging questions and insightful contributions from the attending students left a lasting impression. Their curiosity and fresh perspectives have added value to the discussions. It was followed by the vote of thanks given by Hammad Murtaza, Coordinator of CONSTRAT.
Stratonomics’ 2023 successfully concluded by embedding the idea that a combination of traditional and non-traditional strategies is key to navigating the complex future landscape.
