Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik Thursday conducted ground breaking ceremony, laid foundation stones, and inaugurated several industrial units in Khurda Bhubaneswar.
While he inaugurated the new Food Park set up by IDCO at Khurda, he laid the foundation for a new industrial park at Kalibeti.
Companies like Pepsi, Nestle, Indo Nissin, and their ancillaries will have their production units at the food park. The Industrial Park at Kalibeti will house garment manufacturing companies like EPIC, MAS Holdings, Indian Stitches and other top garment manufacturing units.
Out of these industries, 10 have already started constructing their factories.
Expressing happiness over the progress in these industrial infra, the Chief Minister said the establishment of these companies is a testament to the hard work put in by the Government. The advent of these companies will provide employment to thousands of youths of the State. He also thanked the people of Khurda for having always supported the growth of industries in the region.
The government has also planned to construct large-sized hostels for the women working in the region. The construction of three such hostels will soon start at Deras, Kalibeti, and Bhuinpur.
Among others, chairman 5T Initiatives & Nabin Odisha Kartik Pandian, senior industry leaders and, senior officials from government of Odisha were present.
