Bhubaneswar : Nrutyanjali, 19th Dance Festival of Debadasi, a well established cultural oraganisation is going to start from Monday. The two-day festival to be staged here in Utkal Rangamancha auditorium of GKM Odissi Research Centre is packed with programmes Odissi dance and music besides a award giving ceremony.
Nrutyanjali Award 2024 would be conferred on eminent Mardala player Dhaneswar Swain, and Druba Charan Mohapatra Award 2024 on established cine and theatre actor Debu Kumar Bramha.
Debadasi will present dance drama narrating the story of River Daya on the opening day and Meera on the closing day. Kalyani Mohanty along with Mamata Bariha perform Odissi dance, and Barsa Mohini Das Odissi in solo on Tuesday. Guru Bijaya Kumar Jena will render Odissi classical on Monday.The Festival will be closed with a Sambalpuri dance by Debadasi.
