Bhubaneswar: Amidst media report that JSW Group has decided to shift its Rs 40,000 crore EV & Battery Project in Odisha to Maharastra, the Odisha chief miniater Mohan Majhi has scotched the rumour.
The JSW executive vice president Ranjan Nayak has also asserted that the Company has not withdrawn itself from the Odisha project. Nayak in a press release has said that the project will come up once the land is allotted.
JSW has signed an MoU with Naveen Patnaik Odisha government seven months back for setting up facilities for EV & Bettery manufacturing in the State.
The news report has caused a political stir in the State with opposion Naveen Patnaik-led BJD targeting the BJP for conspirying to shift the invement to election bound Maharastra.
