Sukinda (Odisha ): Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) celebrated the New Year 2025 with the Mankadia communities of Sukinda region here on Wednesday.
Reaching the Kalarangiata village of the communities that come under the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), the Foundation organised cake-cutting ceremony followed by cultural events. Around 200 tribals including 100 children from the village took part in the festivities and welcomed the new year with a gratitude to the almighty for the year 2024 gone well.
What made them happier was the company of Pankaj Satija, Executive-In-charge, Ferro Alloys and Minerals Division (FAMD), Tata Steel, Shambhunath Jha, Chief of Mines (FAMD), Pramod Kumar, Head of Administration (FAMD) and other officers from the steel major who spent quality time in the village with fun activities.
Wishing the community members of the PVTGs a happy and safe new year, Pankaj Satija said, “Our cultural traditions are our strength, and preserving them while embracing modern opportunities is key to a brighter tomorrow. With the advent of the new year 2025, I wish everyone to join hands to promote inclusivity and work towards an equitable society.”
