Bhubaneswar: Toastmasters Community Club, Bhubaneswar (TMCC) organised its annual flagship event, ‘SpeakFest 2025″, here at Development Resource Training Center (DRTC) on Sunday.

Focused on spreading awareness on public speaking, the event was a convergence of learning and networking along with engaging and interactive activities for the community of Odisha
The event was graced by chief guest Ms. Jayashree Mohanty, Co-founder and President of Luminous Infoways and guest of honour Durga Prasad Gouda, CEO, Atal Incubation Center, Nalanda Institute of Technology Foundation along with members from Toastmasters Clubs across Odisha such as TCS and Tata Steel and community members.

The dignitaries highlighted the importance of communication skills and applauded the model of Toastmasters as a friendly, economic, and effective platformthat can create proficient speakers and leaders.


This edition of SpeakFest witnessed more than 200 participants ranging from students to corporate employees to entrepreneurs with a shared need to understand the nuances of public speaking and advance their communication and leadership skills in an empowering environment. The audience experienced educational sessions by professional speakers on topics like acing impromptu speeches , walking the leadership journey, etc. The audience was also invited to contest in a friendly table topic competition and partici pated in leadership activities here speakers could overcome their stage fear and win attractive awards.
On the occasion, Harshita Shah , President, Toastmasters Community Club, Bhubaneswar said,”As Toastmasters, we believe leaders are not born but made and every leader must have excellent communication skills. Be it in workplace or in personal life, communication plays a substantial role and at our weekly sessions , we try to hone this skill regularly. SpeakFest is our humble attempt to spread awareness about this unique platform of Toastmasters’.
