Bhubaneswar: The All-Odisha Contractors ‘Welfare Association (AOCWA) and the All-Odisha Contractors Association (AOCA), in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp, here at The Institution of Engineers, to commemorate the brave hearts of the Pulwama Martyrs’ Day. A total of 200 units of blood were collected in this camp. The event witnessed an overwhelming response from volunteers, donors, and dignitaries who came forward to pay tribute to the martyrs by donating blood. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Krushna Chandra Mohapatra, minister of housing & urban development, in the presence of Babu Singh, MLA Ekamra, Irasis Acharya, MLA, Bhatli, Priyadarshi Mishra, Ex-MLA, Bhubaneswar North, Jagannath Pradhan, Chief Advisor of AOCWA.

Dr. Krushna Chandra Mohapatra emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating, “Blood donation is one of the greatest acts of kindness. I appreciate the efforts of AOCWA, AOCA, and the Red Cross Society in organizing this meaningful event in memory of our martyrs. The camp saw active participation from various individuals, including engineers, contractors, students, and general citizens, with many donating blood for the first time.

Rabi Narayan Naik expressed his gratitude, saying, “Every drop of blood donated today is a step towards saving a life. am proud to be part ofthis initiative that upholds the spirit ofs selflessness and patriotism.”

The event concluded with a solemn moment of silence for the Pulwama martyrs, followed by certificates of appreciation presented to the donors. The success of this camp reinforced the commitment of AOCWA and AOCA towards social welfare and national service.
