Bhubaneswar: The Vidyarambha Ceremony and Utkal Dibasa were celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm at Saraswati Shishu Vidyamandir, Unit-3, Bhubaneswar today. The event witnessed the participation of students, parents, and teachers, all of whom were filled with immense energy and excitement.
Before the commencement of the ceremony, Ma Bhubaneswari, Ma Mangala, Lord Sri Nilakantheswar, and Sri Hanuman Temple graciously provided sacred water and consecrated garlands, which were carried in a Grand Procession. The procession was marked by the sounds of bells, conches, Sankirtan, and the Kalash Yatra, and attracted the participation of new parents and students, making the event even more captivating.
On this auspicious occasion, Principal welcomed the newly enrolled students by marking their names and performing a ceremonial foot washing to honor them. The Gayatri Maha Yajna and Vidyarambha Yajna were also conducted to mark the occasion.
In observance of Utkal Dibasa, the chief guest, social worker Sri Bipin Chandra Nayak, delivered an insightful address on the historical significance of Odisha, as well as the life and achievements of Madhusudan Das, a key figure in the state’s heritage and development.
During the event, 84 meritorious students who had participated in annual competition such as painting, song, photo, debate, handwriting etc were recognized and awarded by the chief guest for their achievements.
The members of the School Management Committee, including the editor and other distinguished members, were present on stage to witness the event. Principal Sri Niranjan Taras shared his thoughts, stating, “I am deeply honored to be part of this sacred occasion. Our aim is to nurture the future of our students through education and values, empowering them to lead successful and fulfilling lives.” With the guidance of the Principal and the tireless dedication of the teachers and mentors, the event was held successfully.
