Bhubaneswar: TPCODL’s new 33 kV feeder, spanning 5.4 km from Cuttack Brajabiharipur OPTCL Grid to Nuapatna, using modern technology, has become operational. With this feeder becoming operational, over 30,000 consumers in areas under the Sarpeswar, Khuntuni, Athgarh and Gurudijhatia primary substations will now receive improved efficient power supply. This will benefit rural consumers and numerous industrial establishments while addressing voltage fluctuation issues.

The feeder’s construction faced multiple challenges, particularly across the Mahanadi River. Of the total 5.4 km length, 2.6 km was built along one side of the Madhusudan Bridge under difficult conditions, requiring special arrangements. TPCODL ensured comprehensive safety measures for workers involved in the construction and arranged for a dedicated boat for the project.
With the increasing power demand during summer, TPCODL prioritizes strengthening the electricity infrastructure. This initiative has resolved long-standing power issues in the local region, ensuring a reliable and efficient supply.
