Joda/Baril: Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) observed the 11th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and participation across its key locations, – Barbil Pellet Plant, Kasia Iron Mines, and Tensa Iron Mines, promoting the importance of health, wellness, and inner harmony through yoga.

In alignment with this year’s global theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” the celebrations reflected JSP’s commitment to sustainable well-being, harmony with nature, and the holistic health of individuals and communities.

On the occasion, writing on the social media platform X, Naveen Jindal, Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra and chairman of JSP, said, “Yoga is India’s priceless gift, it is discipline, it is devotion, and it is a way of life. Let us make yoga a part of our lifestyle.”

The celebrations began with yoga sessions held at the respective residential colonies of the units, led by the company yoga instructors under the guidance of the company’s wellness programme.

At Barbil Pellet Plant, the event was graced by Unit Head Shri Purushotham M D, who joined employees and their family members in the morning yoga session. The participants practiced various asanas and breathing techniques aimed at enhancing physical flexibility, reducing stress, and promoting overall well-being.

At Kasia Iron Mines, Unit Head Shri Pramod Kumar Patra led the celebrations, encouraging all present to embrace yoga as a lifestyle practice. The session witnessed active participation from employees and their family members.

Similarly, at Tensa Iron Mines, the yoga session was held under the guidance of Unit Head Shri Raghuraj Raghuwanshi, who emphasized the significance of regular yoga practice for a healthy mind and body.JSP continues to champion wellness and holistic health among its workforce, recognizing yoga as a powerful tool for physical, mental, and emotional balance, in true spirit of “One Earth, One Health.”
