Paradeep: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) celebrated Van Mahotsav 2025 on Monday with a series of plantation drives at Paradeep, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
As part of the celebrations, a mass plantation drive was conducted under this year’s theme, “Ek Paudha Maa Ke Naam 2.0.” Employees and associates came together to plant a diverse range of saplings, contributing to the green cover within the pellet plant premises.
A plantation programme was held at Paradeepgarh High School, organised by the Kujanga Forest Range team in collaboration with AM/NS India. The event was graced by Odisha industries minister Sampad Chandra Swain as the Chief Guest along with Sasmita Behera, Sarpanch, Paradeepgarh, Kartikeswar Khandei, Deputy Range Officer, Kujanga, Sanjay Behera, Senior Advocate, U.S.R. Raju, Plant Head, Paradeep Pellet Plant, AM/NS India, Ch. Hariprasad, Head, Operations, Paradeep Pellet Plant, AM/NS India and other officers from the company. The dignitaries planted fruit-bearing saplings within the school premises.
The event also saw enthusiastic participation of the school’s staff, teachers, and students, who also learnt about the importance of environmental stewardship. These initiatives reflect AM/NS India’s unwavering dedication to fostering a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable future.
