Bhubaneswar : Odisha cadre senior IAS officer of 1991-batch Saurabh Garg, retiring as secretary to Ministry of Stastics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI) on 31.07.2025,has got an service extension for a period of one year.
The Appointment Committee of the cabinet has approved extention of tenure as secretary, MoSPI on contract basis for a further period of one year beyond 31.07.2025 that is upto 31.07.2026. Garg will also discharge the function of secretary to National Stastics Commission.
Garg served Odisha in various capacity before going on in central deputation. His tenure as principal secretary Housing & Urban Development in the State is quite commendable.
