Bhubaneswar : Hindalco’s Meenakshi Coal Mine organised a dental awareness camp recently at Durubaga Upper Primary School and Kiripsira Upper Primary School at Hemgir in Sundargarh district. The initiative, held under the company’s CSR programme, aimed to instil healthy oral hygiene practices among schoolchildren and create awareness about the importance of preventive dental care.

During the interactive sessions, the company’s Medical Officer from the Mobile Health Unit highlighted the significance of dental hygiene, proper brushing techniques, and the long-term benefits of maintaining oral health. The students actively participated in the programme and showed enthusiasm in learning about simple habits that can help them maintain strong and healthy teeth.To further encourage these practices, dental kits were distributed to all participating students at the end of the programme.

The sessions were attended by the ex-Sarpanch of Kiripsira, school teachers, and the company’s Head-HR, Sharad Hurkat, who appreciated the effort and urged students to adopt these habits in their daily lives. Nearly 70 children benefited from this awareness drive.
