Berhampur: TPSODL has successfully commissioned a 33-kV supply with a 500-kVA distribution transformer for the newly built 650-bedded teaching hospital at Shaheed Laxman Nayak Medical College (SLNMC), Koraput. This dedicated power setup will ensure reliable and uninterrupted electricity for the hospital, hostels, and newly added residential quarters within the premises.

To make this possible, a 33 kV line was laid from the Sunabeda Grid Substation to the Koraput Old Power Substation, and from there a dedicated 33 kV link line was extended to the hospital building.

The medical college hospital provides facilities such as advanced diagnostic and treatment services, including CT scan and dialysis units, along with its own oxygen plant to support critical care. Uninterrupted electricity is vital for such life-saving infrastructure, and TPSODL has provided a separate system with AB switches, isolators, and other safety equipment to ensure dependable service.

The 650-bedded hospital was recently inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

TPSODL CEO Amit Kumar Garg said, “Healthcare requires uninterrupted power to save lives. We are proud to support the newly built hospital with a reliable and dedicated electricity network. This project reflects our commitment in strengthening infrastructure and serving the communities of Southern Odisha.”
