Bhubaneswar : Odisha Chief Minister Mohan has Majhi urged the mine owners to increase iron ore production as there is demand from the industry in the country.
The CM Tuesday took a meeting of the mine owners where he said that the iron ore mines lease holders need to increase the ore production as there has been demand for the raw material from the industry in the country.
He assured the lease holders that the State would extend all support to the mine owners and the induatrialists. He, however, advised them to increase production keeping a eye on minimum compulsory raising as per MDPA
He urged the induatrialist to set up plants in mineral bearing districts.
Majhi said that the State government has prepared the Annual Auction Calendar for 2026-27 to expedite the auctions of mines.
Chairman of Indian Steel Association (ISA) Naveen Jindal, Tata Steel CEO & Managing Director TV Narendran, JSW President Anil Kumar Singh, AM/NS director Alok Kumar Mehta, ISA Secretary General Alok Kumar Sahaya OMC Chairman Girish S. N, Managing Director Sudhansu Samal were present.
Chief Secretary Ms. Anu Garg, Development Commissioner Deoranjan Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Industries Hemant Sharma, and CM’s Additional Chief Secretary Saswat Mishra were also present in the meeting.
