Berhampur: TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) Mobile Health Dispensaries (MDH) are bringing essential medical services closer to communities in the tribal heartlands of Koraput, Malkangiri, Kandhamal, and Rayagada districts of Odisha.
Equipped with a dedicated team comprising an MBBS doctor, nurse, pharmacist, and mobiliser, the MHDs provide free consultations, medicines, and doorstep medical camps. The initiative has already made a substantial impact, covering 3,23,675 beneficiaries across the four districts.The outreach has been particularly significant in tribal pockets.
Further strengthening grassroots healthcare delivery, the initiative has conducted 1,213 health check-up camps, 843 awareness sessions, and 67 special health camps, focusing on preventive healthcare, early diagnosis, and behavioural awareness around hygiene, sanitation, and nutrition.
A key highlight has been the organisation of six Mega Health Camps across the four districts, bringing specialised healthcare services to remote villages. These camps collectively benefited 1,437 individuals in Koraput, 1,316 in Malkangiri, 1,750 in Kandhamal, and 694 in Rayagada, taking the total outreach under Mega Health Camps to 5,197 beneficiaries.
