Gopalpur: Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) has announced a financial subsidy to make technical education more affordable for students enrolled in core diploma programmes at its technical institutes.

Starting from the Academic Year 2025–26, TSF will provide Rs 20,000 per semester, offering total financial support of up to Rs 1.2 lakh during the diploma programme.The subsidy will benefit students studying at J N Tata Technical Education Centre (JNTTEC), Gopalpur, Ganjam, Odisha, R D Tata Technical Education Centre (RDTTEC), Golmuri, Jamshedpur, and Tata Steel Technical Institute (TSTI), Burmamines, Jamshedpur. These institutes provide industry-focused diploma programmes supported by modern training facilities, experienced faculty, and strong industry connections.

Captain Amitabh, Head, Skills Development, Tata Steel Foundation said, “Tata Steel Foundation is committed to providing quality technical and skills-based education to the youth in the regions where we operate. The aim is to reduce the financial burden on students while expanding access to quality technical education. The initiative has been implemented in partnership with Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) to ensure high-quality, industry-relevant training.”
