Bhubaneswar : Odisha cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Monday approved ten proposals of five departments.

A Rs 500 crore Riverfront Development Scheme has been cleared on Monday. Under the scheme, riverfront of selected cities would be developed over five years.

The Rs 112. 31 crore tender awarded to the joint venture of Shivam Condev & Shree Hari Infra Projects for construction of water supplying projects for Bhubaneswar Development Authority has been cleared on Monday.

Similarly, the Rs 100.89 crore tender for Waste Water Treatment Plant at the confluence of Daya and Gangua rivers has been approved by the cabinet. The tender has been awarded in favour of Noida-based firm East India Udyog Ltd.

The cabinet endorsed the Tourism Department proposal for creation of “Landbank for Hospitality Infrastructure ” with 5500 acres of land at tourist destination centres like Puri (Samuka Project) Chilika, Konark, Dhauli, Hirakud, Satkosia, Similipal, Bhitarkanika, Daringbadi, Deomali, Buddhist Circuit, Jiranga, Talasari, and Tampra-Aryapali.

The scheme which will be implemented over five years with a total outlay of Rs1500 crore (@ Rs300 crore per annum) between 2026-27 and 2030-31.
