New Delhi : Odisha’s two-day investment outreach in Delhi, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, concluded Saturday with a strong response from industry, generating investment proposals worth ₹66,392 crore, with the potential to create 54,135 employment opportunities.
Following the successful Odisha Food Pro 2026, the outreach brought together leading investors and industry representatives through high-level one-on-one meetings, sector-focused roundtable discussions and a visit to the Haier manufacturing facility in Noida. The engagements focused on translating industry interest into investments, strengthening manufacturing and value chains, and creating new employment opportunities for the people of Odisha.
Chief Minister visited the Haier manufacturing facility in Noida, where he interacted with senior company officials and technicians and reviewed the company’s manufacturing processes and systems.The visit provided an opportunity to understand advanced manufacturing practices and explore potential opportunities for strengthening Odisha’s manufacturing ecosystem, particularly in electronics, consumer durables, supply chains and ancillary industries.
The Chief Minister said, “Odisha is building an ecosystem where industries can grow, create jobs and build long-term value. Our focus is not only on attracting investment, but also on creating employment, strengthening local supply chains and opening new opportunities for the youth of Odisha. We want investors to see Odisha as a reliable and long-term partner for growth.”
Following the Haier visit, the CM held a series of one-on-one meetings with senior industry leaders in Noida, discussing investment opportunities, expansion plans, sector-specific requirements and the support needed to establish and scale businesses in Odisha. He also participated in focused roundtable discussions with industry representatives across key manufacturing sectors.
The Engineering Goods Manufacturing Roundtable, organised in association with the Indian Industries Association, discussed opportunities for manufacturing, industrial infrastructure, ancillary development and supply-chain integration in Odisha.
The Textile and Apparel Roundtable with Noida industry representatives, organised in association with the Noida Apparel Export Cluster, focused on textile and apparel manufacturing, export opportunities, skilled workforce and employment-intensive investments.
The Aluminium Ancillary and Downstream Roundtable, organised in association with NALCO, explored opportunities to expand aluminium value addition, downstream manufacturing, ancillary industries and MSME participation in Odisha.
These high-level discussions provided a direct platform for industry leaders to understand Odisha’s investment ecosystem and for the State Government to understand industry requirements and facilitate future investments.
The two-day outreach resulted in investment proposals across multiple sectors.Total investment proposals: ₹66,392 crore, with potential employment generation of 54,135. MoUs signed: Total number – 38, Amount 64,703 crore, with potential employment of 46,071.Investment Intention Forms (IIFs): ₹1,689 crore, with potential employment of 8,064.
The outcomes underline the growing confidence of industry in Odisha and the State Government’s focus on ensuring that investment translates into projects, jobs, local value creation and stronger industrial ecosystems.
Concluding the outreach, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi said, “Odisha is ready for the Purvodaya. The response from industry during these two days has been very encouraging. We have received investment proposals of around ₹66,392 crore, with the potential to create 54,135 employment opportunities. This has been a successful investor outreach and reflects the growing confidence of industry in Odisha. Under the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of the Double Engine Government, we are committed to taking Odisha’s industrial growth to the next level.”
Minister for Industries, Sampad Chandra Swain, said, “The response from industry in Delhi-NCR reflects the growing confidence in Odisha’s investment ecosystem. We are working to ensure that the investment interest generated through these engagements is converted into projects on the ground and contributes to the State’s long-term industrial growth.”
The successful Delhi-NCR 2 days engagement further reinforces Odisha’s growing industrial momentum, with 46 high-level meetings across key sectors and a total of 208 industry interactions, in addition to the successful Odisha Food Pro 2026 roadshow.
The engagements reflect strong and growing industry confidence in Odisha’s potential across engineering and manufacturing, textiles and apparel, aluminium downstream industries, electronics and other emerging sectors. Backed by abundant natural resources, a skilled workforce, robust industrial infrastructure, strategic ports and connectivity, and an investor-friendly policy ecosystem, Odisha is strengthening its position as a competitive investment destination and building a strong foundation for the next phase of industrial growth and employment generation.The Government remains committed to attracting quality investment, creating jobs for Odisha’s youth and ensuring that the benefits of industrial growth reach communities across the State strengthening Odisha’s contribution to the Purvodaya vision and India’s journey towards a developed economy.
