Bhubaneswar: State Bank of India (SBI) and the Odisha Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UD) signed an MoU to put in place a seamless, secured and citizen-cetric payment services across cities and towns of the State. SBI’s payment aggregator service SBIePay will strenthen digital payment infrastructure and facilitate the services through SUJOG platform.

The MoU was signed by SBI DGM (D&TB) Sushant Kumar Dash and Additional Secretary, H&UD Department, Suvendu Sahoo.

H & UD Additional Chief Secretary Ms. Usha Padhee, and SBI Odisha Circle Chief General Manager Rakesh Yadav graced the signing ceremony.

Under the partnership, citizens will be able to make online payments for various municipal services, taxes, fees and utility charges through the SUJOG platform using a wide range of digital payment options. These include RuPay, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and AMEX cards, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking/IMPS, UPI, UPI-RCC (RuPay Credit Card), UPI-CL (Credit Line) and digital wallets.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Padhee said that the collaboration would help the department further enhance the efficiency, convenience and accessibility of citizen services through digital means.

Rakesh Yadav said that the collaboration marks an important step towards strengthening Odisha’s digital urban governance ecosystem.
