Bhubaneswar: Reinforcing its commitment to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) excellence, Tata Steel’s Khondbond Iron Mine has been conferred with the 1st Runner-Up award in the Large Scale Mining Sector category at the prestigious SHE Excellence Awards 2025-26, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Eastern Region, in Kolkata.
CII SHE award is being conferred for excellence in safety, health, and environment in work place.
Located in the Joda region of Odisha’s Kendujhar district, Khondbond Iron Mine earned the recognition for its consistent efforts toward maintaining high standards of safety, occupational health, and environmental management practices.
Abhishek Singh, Senior Area Manager (Excavation), and Jivitesh Kumar Anokhe, Area Manager (Safety) received the award on behalf of the company at a function held in Kolkata.
The achievement further strengthens Tata Steel’s position as a leader in advancing world-class safety standards and sustainable mining practices across its mining and mineral value chain.
