Bhubaneswar: Reliance Jio has further extended its leadership in revenue market share in Odisha fourth quarter of 2018-19 ending March 2019, according to a report by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
While Reliance Jio has already accumulated over 50% market share of the adjusted gross revenue across the sector in Odisha, it also remains the market leader in gross revenue with the highest 42.4% market share in the state, leaving all other service providers way behind, reveals the report.
As per the report, Reliance Jio achieved a gross revenue of Rs. 403.19 crores in the quarter spanning from Jan-March 2019, followed by Bharti Airtel with Rs. 357.44 crores, Vodafone Idea with 121.9 crores, BSNL with 60.05 crores and Tata Teleservices with 9.22 crores.
As per the latest subscriber data released by TRAI, Reliance Jio alone added 3.97 lakh subscribers in March 2019, outperforming all other services providers at a time when the overall mobile subscriber base in the state decreased by 8.28 lakhs in the same month. Reliance Jio has been leading in new subscriber additions with its all 4G network, fast expansion of its 4G network in the hinterlands and the hugely popular ultra-affordable JioPhone – India ka Smartphone.
