Bhubaneswar: The State information & public relations (I & PR) department will digitize the rare and valuable films, videos, audios, photos and documents for preservation for the posterity.
The I &PR secretary, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Saturday told his officers to undertake the project with the help of the Odisha Computer Application Centre(OCAC) for preservation of old and valuable films, videos, audios, photos and other materials in digital format so that those could be preserved for long years. He also directed that the RTI portal be upgraded and updated within 30 days. Singh was taking a meeting on implementation of 5Ts in the department. He also directed the officers and staff of Idco and Skill Development department . Singh is also holding the charge of CMD of Idco and the secretary of Skill Development along with the I & PR secretary.
The I & PR director Krupasindhu Mishra, joint secretary Subhendra Nayak, joint director Bipin Bihari Barik and senior officers of Idco and Skill Development department attended the meeting.
