Bhubaneswar: Coal India Ltd.(CIL) Friday contributed Rs 50.32 crore for restoration of energy infrastructures damaged due to cyclone Fani.
The union coal secretary, Sumanta Choudhary, presented the cheque to the chief minister Naveen Patnaik, here on Friday. He was accompanied by union coal joint secretary Ashish Upadhya, CIL chairman AK Jha, Mahanadi Coalfield Ltd.(MCL) CMD B.N. Sukla, Odisha special relief commissioner PK Jena and energy secretary Bishnupada Sethi.
The fund which was given to the Odisha Disaster Management Authority(OSDAMA) would be spend by OPTCL in restoration works.
