Bhubaneswar: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has urged the union housing and urban affairs minister Hardeep Singh Puri for allotment of land for the ‘Odisha Cultural Centre and Library’ at New Delhi.
“This is regarding allotment of suitable land in Delhi for construction of Odisha Cultural Centre and Library by government of Odisha”, Patnaik has stated in a letter written to Puri on Monday, and added, ” I am hopeful that with your intervention, suitable land will soon be made available for fulfilling the long felt need of the Odia people residing in Delhi”.
Pointing out that States like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh have been provided with space for hosting cultural and social events besides the Bhawan/ Niwas at Delhi, the Patnaik has mentioned that suitable land be allotted in favour of the Odisha government for construction of the cultural centre and library.
