Bhubaneswar: After cyclone, the Odisha government has shifted health principal secretary NB Dhal to energy department as principal secretary. The government had kept in abeyance Dhal’s transfer in view of the Cyclone Amphan.
The government had transfered Dal to energy department last week. However, it had kept the transfer in abeyance keeping in mind the ensuing Amphan cyclone.
Now, after the cyclone, Dhal has been shifted to energy department in place of energy principal secretary Bishnupad Sethi . Sethi has been posted as principal secretary revenue and disaster management.
The sudden transfer of Dhal from the health department, particularly when the State is fighting a grim battle against the Coronavirus pandemic, has created a ripple in State bureaucracy. Dhal was brought in as health secretary a couple of months back shifting Dr. Pramod Meherda as principal secretary to the governor.
