Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief secretary, Asit Tripathy, Monday directed to intensify the ‘Mu Bi Vivid Yodha’ campaign in the State.
Tripathy said this while reviewing the progress of the special campaign Mu bi Covid Yodha Monday in secretariat conference hall wherein secretary information and public relations (I& PR) Sanjay Kumar Singh outlined the issues and presented the campaign themes for discussions.
Reviewing the progress, chief secretary directed the departments of panchaytai raj & drinking water, women & child development and mission shakti, housing & urban development and information & public relations to work tandem at field level in intensifying the campaign through active community involvement. He also directed to organize the ward level Covid Committee meetings within the current week in both the rural and urban areas.
“Information, Education and Communication are the key to win the fight against Covid-19 and check the possible spread of the pandemic”, said chief secretary while adding, “An aware and alert community can achieve wonders in our fight against this unseen enemy”.
Secretary I& PR Singh said, “The camping has been launched to infuse in people the values of self responsibility with the spirit of Ama Swasthya Ama Hatare (our health in our hand).The main themes of the campaign include personal hygiene, hand washing use of mask, social distancing, care of the old and vulnerable, eradication of social stigma, self-monitoring, community surveillance quarantine and making use of 104 and telemedicine”.
The meeting decided to reach out to maximum people through 360 degree approach and create a sense of pride in among people to observe the norms of social distancing religiously. Chief secretary Tripathy directed to intensify the campaign through active involvement of WSHGs, PRIs, VSS, Farmer producer groups and school management committees. It was further decided for wide use of the miking, social media, posters, audio jingles through AIR and community radio, visual presentations through television, panel discussions in TVs, cartoon web series and You Tube etc. The Information & Public Relations department would develop more catching and convincing themes relating to different contours of the campaign and diffuse it through different media.
Additional chief secretary and SRC Pradeep Kumar Jena, principal secretary women & child development and Mission Shakti Anu Garg, principal secretary panchayati raj & drinking water Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, director I & PR Krupasindhu Mishra, technical director Niranjan Sethi participated in the discussions.
