Rourkela: Raka Chattaraj, President Deepika Mahila Sanghati (DMS) inaugurated the Salem Steel counter in the renovated showroom of the Sangahti, here at VIP Market in Sector 5 on Thursday. Vice presidents of Sangahti, Dr Suprava Mishra, Sumanlata, Kiran Sinha, secretary Namita Mohapatra, GM (PR) & CoC Dhirendra Mishra, GM (CSR) M V Appa Rao and GM(TE-Civil), Pawan Gupta graced the occasion.
With the addition of Salem Steel products, DMS has expanded its product profile in the retail. The partnership of DMS with Central Marketing Organisation and Salem Steel Plant would enhance the visibility of SAIL products in the central place and also make it available for the general public. This is a great step in the area of marketing strategy for greater profitability of SAIL and sustainability of the partner organisation like DMS. The steel products include home and kitchen utensils like glass, plates, bowls, dinners set, serving bowls, cook ware set casseroles, tiffin boxes, cup saucer, masala containers, ice-cream set.
The other products in the showroom include handloom sarees, bed sheets, handkerchiefs, fabrics for kurti/kurta etc made in Deepika Hasta Kargha, masalas, low cost sanitary napkins, handicrafts and other tailoring items prepared in Deepika Mahila Jagriti Sansthan.
