Bhubaneswar: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik urged the union labour minister to enhance the pension amount of EPF pensioners.
Patnaik, in a letter to the union labour minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Thursday, said, ” I would like to draw your attention to the plight of 1.62 lakh EPF pensioners all across my State, who with a paltry monthly pension after their retirement are facing much hardship in their advanced age. Time and again these EPS-95 Pensioners’ Associations are putting forth their grievances for revision of minimum pension by the government of India.”
Patnaik has urged Gangwar to consider the Koshiyari Committee recommendation and enhance the minimum pension of EPF pensioners.
