Bhubaneswar: ?he Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI), an apex body of industry, trade, commerce & services in Odisha has initiated the Covid care initiative as a part of its moral responsibility towards the society.
Brahma Mishra, president UCCI, said that Chamber is extending several facilities to the Covid affected people of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. According to him packaged food is being home delivered freevos costbto Covid positive patients under home isolation.
Currently around 350 parcels are being delivered daily in Bhubaneshwar and Cuttack. Nearly 1000 food packets have been delivered so far and the pace of distribution is continuing with request pouring in daily.
UCCI has also made facilities to provide free tele medicine to the general public to discuss their prevailing general health and medical conditions with a team of doctors comprising psychiatrists, general physicians and specialists empaneled with the UCCI. The people can call the doctors of their choice at the stipulated time. Further details can be availed from UCCI office.
Mishra said the project of supplying oxygen cylinder to the patients has been undertaken by UCCI so that patients with dropping oxygen levels who need immediate assistance can avail of these services. According to UCCI officials the modalities of delivery of this service is being worked out and will be soon pressed in to service.
UCCI has also planned distribution of N95 good quality mask which it intend to distribute to newspaper hawkers who work so hard during the pandemic.
