Bhubaneswar: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has urged the people to wear double mask during the cyclone time.
Patnaik in a video message on Monday has said that the State is facing double challenges – Covid-19 pandemic and the cyclone Yaas. “To fight it out we need to be more careful. To face double challenges we have to guard ourselves with double masks.”
He reminded the people about the State’s fight double challenge during cyclone Amphan last year.
The chief minister said all the people in cyclone prone districts should wear double mask. Whether in Cyclone Shelter or in house use double mask”, he stressed.
He said that he has directed the collectors to supply adequate masks to the people through the SHGs. Recently, the government has allowed the MLAs to.spent up to Rs 50 lakh of their MLALAD fund in providing mask and sanitizers to the people.
The chief minister urged the people to cooperate the officials in evacuation and rehabilitation work.
