Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief secretary, A P Padhi, Monday said coal, national highways and railway projects are meeting the time line as the state government has been able to resolve most of the problems faced by the projects.
The chief secretary, who chaired a meeting of the project monitoring group of prime minister’s office, told reporters that the review show that the projects are on the time line and the issues raised by some project implementing agencies have been resolved completely.
The meeting, which was attended by PMO joint secretary Subha Kumari and director SD Sharma, reviewed 28 projects, mostly related to coal mines, railways and national highways. The issues relating to rehabilitation, disbursement of compensation, shifting of utilities, compliance to forest diversion proposals, forest clearance, holding of gram sabha, issue of FRA certificate, tree cutting permission, DGPS survey, compensatory afforestation and others were also discussed and resolved in the meeting.
