Bhubaneswar: The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at all operating locations of AM/NS India in Odisha, highlighting the unwavering spirit of freedom and progress. The Paradeep Pellet Plant celebrated the day as Suresha G, Executive Director-Odisha Operations, AM/NS India, hoisted the National Flag in the presence of employees and community members hailing from nearby Handia, Nuagarh, Balidia, Singitali, Bhutmundei, Musadia, Chakradharpur, Paradeepgarh, and Pipal villages.
There was active participation of girls from neighbouring villages, who showcased their talents through a skit on female foeticide, patriotic songs and yoga performances celebrating our country’s cultural identity. Appreciation certificates were presented to security personnel of the company as an expression of gratitude for their commitment in discharging their duties.
Addressing the gathering, Suresha G said, “Together, we shape our Nation’s destiny with unity, resilience, and innovation. Let us march forward, upholding our rich heritage and forging a brighter future for generations to come.”
At the Beneficiation Plant in Dabuna, Keonjhar, Mr. Jaikishan Sharma, Head, Logistics, Dabuna hoisted the National Flag in the presence of employees and community members and recounted the inspiring contributions and struggles of the freedom fighters who dared to dream of a free India. The celebration continued with a parade led by the company’s security team. The stage then came alive with the performances of the ladies’ group, who enacted a stirring skit depicting the resilience of India’s fight for independence.
The Independence Day celebrations at Sagasahi Mines of AM/NS India was a spectacle of unity and inclusivity. Bhabesh Mohanty, Head, Electrical and Instrumentation, Mining Division, AM/NS India, hoisted the National Flag. Prize distribution ceremony was held during the day honouring the winners of the annual sports event.
