Bhubaneswar: On Mother’s Day, FICCI Ladies Club (FLO) Bhubaneswar and Rays Foundation organized a program at Sakha to celebrate the day with mothers and other elderly inmates of the oldage home Sakha.
Sakha has been providing shelter and care to abandoned elderly individuals since 2004. The occasion was celebrated with Kabita Mohapatra and other dedicated individuals, who were honored for their contributions to society.
FLO chairman Rashmi Sahoo and other members also attended the program and honored some of the women in society for their contributions. The Sakha center is home to 30 elderly men and women who were happy to spend their last days there. The organizations also arranged clothes and food for them.
Attendees, including Satish Sarangi, Sapan Das, Vijay Kanungo, Kailash Chandra Mahali, Sheela Kanungo, and Pratibha Patnaik, serve neglected mothers in society in every field with the help of Sakha.
