Joda/Barbil: Athletes from Jindal Sports Hostel have achieved remarkable success securing 5 medals in Wushu at the 68th National School Games held at Jammu from 22nd to 26th November 2024. Among the 7 participants from the hostel, one athlete secured a Gold medal, while three others took home Silver, and one achieved Bronze.
The winners, who have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, are Rajesh Nag (40 kg) – Gold Medal, Madan Munda (45 kg) – Silver Medal, Ramesh Munda (48 kg) – Silver Medal, Malini Munda (36 kg) – Silver Medal, and Parbil Munda (52 kg) – Bronze Medal.
Jindal Sports Hostel, run by the Jindal Foundation, provides a state-of-the-art residential facility for 60 children with exceptional sporting talent, enabling them to excel in both sports and education. The performance by the inmates of the Hostel at the national school Games highlights the success of Jindal Foundation’s initiatives to nurture young talent.

Jindal Foundation has played a pivotal role in supporting Wushu and kickboxing in the Keonjhar District of Odisha, building a strong partnership with the Odisha State Wushu Association for over a decade. Through the foundation’s patronage, numerous sports talents from the Joda-Barbil tribal region have brought pride to the state by excelling in prestigious national and international championships. The Foundation’s sports initiatives have positively impacted over 30,000 rural and tribal athletes, supporting them across a wide range of disciplines, including Wushu, kickboxing, hockey, football, cricket, archery, and more.
