Bhubaneswar: Ms.Usha Padhee, principal secretary, Housing & Urban Development (H&UD), conducted an in-depth review of preparations for the upcoming Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) 2025 during her visit to the Central Command and Control Centre at Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL).
The CC&CC, a state-of-the-art facility, is at the heart of Bhubaneswar’s smart city infrastructure. It serves as the nerve centre for monitoring and manag urban services, ensuring seamless coordination, and enhancing the city’s preparedness for large-scale events like PBD.
During her visit, Ms.Padhee assessed the functioning of the CC&CC and discussed strategies to utilize its advanced technological capabilities for PBD 2025.
The discussions revolved around key aspects such as:Traffic and Mobility Management ,Security and Surveillance,Event Coordination , Public Engagement to make the event participatory and inclusive.
Smt. Padhee also expressed her confidence in Bhubaneswar’s ability to host the prestigious event successfully. “The CC&CC exemplifies the power of technology in transforming urban governance. Its capabilities will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025, showcasing Bhubaneswar as a global hub of smart, sustainable, and citizen-friendly practices,”
It may be stated here that as per the decision taken in the high level meeting chaired by chief secretary a Central Command Control centre has started functioning in the Smart City Ltd under direct control of Dr N Thirumal Naik ,VC BDA . Officers from Health &FW , TPCODL, Tourism,WATCO, BSNL,Commissionerate Police, Fire Services and Transport have been assigned for First response and effective coordination for 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas -2025 . The Central Command & Control Centre shall operate till 11.01.2025 round the clock.
