Bhubaneswar: Four gymnasts of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre (HPC) are representing Team India in the prestigious FIG Apparatus World Cup 2025 series.

Tapan Mohanty and Tapeswarnath Das are representing India in the Senior Men Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) category while Pranati Nayak and Karishma Rajput are representing in the Senior Women Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) category.

The selected gymnasts have showcased remarkable talent, perseverance, and dedication earning their spot in the National team.
In the Senior Men Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) category, Tapan Mohanty cleared the qualifying round and stood at eighth position in the finals with a score of 8.933 in the Floor Exercise/Still Rings event held in Baku, Azerbaijan from March 6 to 9, 2025. The Senior Women Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) category will be held in Antalya, Turkiye from March 20 to 23, 2025 where Pranati Nayak and Karishma Rajput will be competing in Vault and Balance Beam respectively.
Notably, the Sports Authority of India has organised a National Gymnastics Coaching Camp at Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi, from February 26 to March 31, 2025. It is a matter of great pride that Ashok Mishra, the Chief Coach of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre, is appointed as the Chief Coach for MAG. Additionally, Coach Shinoj Muliyil from the HPC is appointed as the Coach for WAG for the National Coaching Camp
These achievements highlight the world-class training and holistic development provided at the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics HPC, which continues to play a pivotal role in nurturing young talent and elevating the sport of gymnastics in India,
Odisha AMNS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre has been established by Arcelor Mittal- Nipon Steel in partnership with the government of Odisha to promote and grow the sport of gymnastics in India and transform Odisha into a premier gymnastics excellence hub. The ‘Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Center’, a facility housed in the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar is meant for senior athletes participating in the ‘Elite Senior Gymnastics Programme’. Additionally, it includes three ‘Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics Academies’ located in Puri, Jeypore, and Rourkela for grassroots level athletes. AM/NS India operates these activities under its CSR initiative ‘Udaan’ and aims to train 360 sportspeople every year with world-class coaching by international and national gymnastics coaches.
