Bhubaneswar: TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has taken another significant step in strengthening the state’s power distribution network with the inauguration of the new Area Power Systemn Control Centre (APSCC-BBSR-2) at Talabania, Puri. The facility was inaugurated by Puri MLA Sunil Kumar Mohanty in the presence of TPCODL CEO Arvind Singh.
The launch of APSCC-BBSR-2 Circle marks a major milestone in modernising distribution operations and enhancing consumer services. By centralising 11 kV operations, previously managed through decentralised divisional APSCCs, the new centre enables better monitoring of power distribution, faster response to outages and more efficient handling of consumer service requirements. All remote- and locally- operated PSS under the BBSR-2 Circle will now be progressively integrated into control through this APSCC.
Equipped with advanced technology and real-time monitoring systems, APSCC-BBSR-2 Circle will significantly strengthen operational efficiency. The facility will allow for improved visibility of the distribution network, enabling better planning, quicker restoration during interruptions and enhanced reliability of supply. Consumers across Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh and Balugaon divisions will directly benefit from more consistent and dependable power services.
TPCODL CEO Singh said: “The inauguration of APSCC-BBSR-2 Circle is a significant step towards strengthening our distribution network and enhancing consumer services. By adopting advanced technology, we are not only improving operational efficiency but also ensuring safe, reliable and consumer centric electricity supply across our regions.”
