Bhubaneswar: The Odisha goverenment in its the 148th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, chaired by the Chief Secretary, Ms. Anu Garg on Tuesday approved 23 major industrial projects with a total investment of ₹4,573.87 crore, having the potential to generate 22,873 employment opportunities across the State.

The approved projects represent a diverse mix of sectors including Information Technology & ITES, Green Energy Equipment, Battery & Energy Storage, Chemicals, Textile & Apparel, Food Processing, Steel Downstream, Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices, Infrastructure, Healthcare and Tourism.The projects will be established across 11 districts Angul, Balangir, Cuttack, Ganjam, Jajpur, Kendujhar, Khordha, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Puri and Sundargarh.

Key approved projects:

IT giant HCL Technologies Ltd. will establish a Global Development Centre in Khordha with an investment of ₹730 crore, generating 6,000 employment opportunities. The project is expected to further strengthen Odisha’s growing IT ecosystem and position the State as an emerging destination for technology-based investments.

In the Green Energy and Energy Storage sector, ACME Cleantech Solutions will establish an alkaline electrolyzer manufacturing unit with a production capacity of up to 3 GW per annum, to be developed in two phases, in Ganjam with an investment of ₹778 crore, creating 480 jobs. GGB Battery India Private Limited will establish a zinc anode battery manufacturing unit in Cuttack with an investment of ₹202.50 crore, generating 254 employment opportunities.

Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited will also establish an additional 100 MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic captive power plant in Angul with an investment of ₹351 crore, generating 60 jobs, further strengthening Odisha’s renewable energy ecosystem.

The Textile and Apparel sector has received major investment commitments with four projects approved during the meeting. SAPL Industries Private Limited will establish a ready-made garment manufacturing unit in Puri with an investment of ₹254 crore, generating 4,570 jobs. SPL Industries Limited will set up another ready-made garment manufacturing unit in Puri with an investment of ₹50 crore, creating 3,000 employment opportunities.

Richa Global Exports will establish a readymade garment manufacturing unit in Puri with an investment of ₹84.45 crore, generating 2,500 jobs, while Astha Cotspin will establish a textile manufacturing unit in Balangir with an investment of ₹124.50 crore, creating 325 employment opportunities.

Growing Tree Oil & Refinery will establish an integrated manufacturing facility in Nuapada comprising solvent extraction, oil refinery, cashew processing, starch-based products, cattle and poultry feed, floating feed, distillation unit and a 9 MW co-generation plant, with an investment of ₹250 crore, generating 1,150 jobs.

Transpek Industry will establish a Specialty Chemicals Manufacturing Facility in Ganjam with an investment of ₹343 crore, creating 424 employment opportunities. Tirupati Microtech Private Limited will establish an Integrated Chemicals Complex and Rare Earth Mineral Processing Facility in Jajpur with an investment of ₹70 crore, generating 84 jobs, while Krebs International Limited will establish a Chromium Chemicals Manufacturing Facility in Mayurbhanj with an investment of ₹68.01 crore, creating 300 employment opportunities.

In the Food Processing sector, Growing Tree Oil & Refinery will also establish a Dairy Products Manufacturing Unit in Cuttack with an investment of ₹80 crore, generating 435 jobs, further strengthening value addition in the Agro-processing sector.

In the Steel Downstream sector, Shri Mahavir Ferro Alloys will establish a manufacturing unit for galvanised coated wires and zinc-aluminium coated wires in Sundargarh with an investment of ₹105 crore, creating 250 employment opportunities. RAG Industries Private Limited will establish a manufacturing unit for steel coil slitting, cut-to-length sheets, GI false ceiling sections and ERW steel pipes & tubes in Khordha with an investment of ₹52 crore, generating 210 jobs.

In the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices sector, EFYIONDX will establish a manufacturing facility for biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, bulk drugs and medical equipment in Khordha with an investment of ₹60 crore, creating 555 employment opportunities.Infrastructure and logistics projects also received approval during the meeting.

Tata Steel will establish a 5 MTPA Railway Siding in Keonjhar with an investment of ₹165.30 crore, generating 250 jobs. Lingaraj Translogistics will establish a Logistics Park and Warehousing Facility in Sundargarh with an investment of ₹150 crore, creating 250 employment opportunities. Sri Jaibalajee Agro Products will establish an Integrated Logistics Park with a 5 MW rooftop solar power plant in Dhenkanal with an investment of ₹120 crore, generating 235 jobs.

In the Healthcare sector, DION Riverside Township Private Limited will establish a 300-bed multi-speciality hospital in Cuttack with an investment of ₹275.89 crore, generating 941 employment opportunities, strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the State.

In the Tourism and Hospitality sector, Biswa & Jit Multi Complex Private Limited will establish a 5-star hotel in Cuttack with an investment of ₹105.22 crore, creating 150 jobs. JAS Towers LLP will establish a 5-star hotel in Sambalpur with an investment of ₹85 crore, generating 325 employment opportunities, while Srikrishna Estates and Construction Private Limited will establish the “Krishna Lake View Resort”, a 5-star luxury resort, in Khordha with an investment of ₹70 crore, creating 125 jobs.
