Bhubaneswar: 3D Genomix Healthcare organized a scientific evening on “Advances in Genomic Medicine” in Bhubaneswar, bringing together senior clinicians, oncologists, hematologists, academicians, and healthcare professionals to discuss the growing role of molecular diagnostics and precision medicine in patient care.
3D Genomix Healthcare was founded by Dr. Aditya Samal, Dr. Nityanada Upadhyay, Dr. Arun Mohanty, and Mr. Sribatsha Rath with a shared vision of making advanced molecular diagnostics and genomic medicine more accessible to patients in Odisha and Eastern India.
The program opened with a welcome address by Dr. Arun Mohanty, CEO of 3D Genomix Healthcare, who introduced the vision of the organization and outlined its key focus areas, including rare genetic disorder evaluation, personalized oncogenomics, non-invasive cancer monitoring, chimerism monitoring, pharmacogenomics, and metagenomic infectious disease diagnostics.
In the context of Odisha, 3D Genomix aims to improve local access to advanced genomic testing, reduce dependence on distant referral laboratories, and provide clinicians with clinically meaningful molecular information. By combining genomic technologies, bioinformatics, AI-assisted interpretation, and expert review, the organization seeks to support earlier diagnosis, more personalized treatment decisions, better disease monitoring, and family-based genetic evaluation where appropriate.
The scientific program was moderated by Dr. Chinmaya Pani, Medical Oncologist, Utkal Hospital, and attended by a distinguished panel of senior medical professionals from leading institutions in Odisha.
The first scientific session was delivered by Dr. Rajyalakshmi Luthra, Professor and Director, Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, on “Current Landscape of Genomic Testing in Patients with Solid Tumors.”
The second scientific session was presented by Dr. Sunil Jaiman, Assistant Professor, Department of Pathology, Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, on “Perinatal Pathology in the Genomic Era.”
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sanjib Kumar Mishra, Director & Senior Consultant, Radiation Oncology, Utkal Hospital, Bhubaneswar. The event was co-sponsored by Shanti Charitable Trust, Chennai.
