Bhubaneswar: Essel Mining and Industries Ltd. (EMIL), a mining arm of Adity Birla group, has observed Mining Safety Week last week . A team nominated by Director of Mines Safety, Chaibasa region, which inspected various mines of EMIL as part of the Safety Week programme, has highly appreciated the safety measures taken by the company in its mines area. The team, which comprised of the representatives of local mining companies like Tata Steel, Rungta, Sirajuddin and Jindal, visited Koira and Jiling mines of EMIL. The chief executive of EMIL’s Barbil mining operation , V.Srikanth, presided over a function on the occasion of Mines Safety Week Celebrations organised by the company in the Koira mining campus. The manager of Koida mines,Ajit Kumar Patra, organized the programme and an exhibition on mining safety on this occasion.
