Bhubaneswar: Breaking the 65 year old precedent of holding cabinet meetings in the state capital, the chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, has convened the cabinet meeting at Puri on Tuesday.
Confirming the news a communique from the chief minister’s office(CMO) said, “chief minister Naveen Patnaik will chair the cabinet meeting at Puri Circuit House tomorrow at 11 AM.” “This is first cabinet meeting outside Bhubaneswar,” said the CMO.
As the ruling Biju Janata Dal is celebrating its 20th Foundation Day at Puri on Tuesday, the entire council of ministers will be present there. So, it would be convenient for holding the cabinet meeting in the holy city on Tuesday.
