Jaipur: The Central-sector generating giant, NTPC Ltd., is soon going to execute Binding Agreements with the Rajasthan government for take over of its 2320 MW Chhabra Thermal Power Plant in the state. The company is now carrying out the detailed due diligence.
NTPC Ltd. on January 11, 2017 signed an MoU with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUN) and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (RUVNL) for take-over of the power station in the presence of state chief minister Basundhara Raje. The NTPC executive director(commercial), AK Gupta, singed the MoU documents with the RVUN CMD NK Kothari and RUVNL MD, Bannalal.
The Rajasthan government has developed the Chhabra Thermal Power Plant with four units of 250 MW in Stage-I and two units of 660 MW in Stage-II (2×660 MW) .
