Due to silting of the river mouth, fishing vessels were finding it difficult to operate from the state fishery department’s Fishing Harbour which is located in the right bank of the river about 1 km upstream of the river mouth. The local fishing community has been complaining about the vessels facing hinderance to navigate during approach/exit from the harbour.
