Bhubaneswar: Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha (Cesu) has been awarded with Solar Roofs Excellence Award by Mumbai-based Solar Quarter Media at a seminar, here recently. Cesu got this award for its achievement in solar mission in the state.
Cesu senior general manager Manoj Kumar Singh, deputy manager Sandyarani Behera, deputy manager HR Bikash Sarkar AND PRO Golak Sahu received the award on behalf of the Cesu.
Cesu CEO Md.Sadique Alam said that the discom has approved 117 solar proposals of consumers in its area of operation. While 14 MW of solar plants have already been installed, another 40MW of solar projects are coming up in the state with the support of Cesu, he added. Major educational institutions like KIIT, KISS , IIIT , IIT , CV Raman College , SOA and some public schools are now installing the solar roof top plant, said the CEO.
The seminar was participated by various solar power promoters from all over the country like Huawei , OREDA, Utkal Chamber of Commerce , OSIC, Crux Power , Soalar Sack , Kirloskar , White Shark Energy , Growatt , Dymechen , Havells India , Etengy , Waaree Energy Power Tech , SPLK Eco Energy , Smart Solar , True Solar , and Alfa India Grinity Intellect.
